Symmetry Faces –

Learning Objectives: Students will understand basic facial proportions, the design principles of balance and symmetry in the context of the human face, and learn to be more comfortable drawing accurate human faces in preparation for their own self portraits.

Catalog of Faces used in this excercise

Directions – Students will take one of these pictures and fold them in half and then complete the other side of the drawing without looking at their side. Then students will complete the other half of the face either using their own drawing or the original. Students will compare the original when they are done and be able to discuss and differences.
